Just bit the bullet and started over with WordPress, though I did keep my old blog posts. It’s a fresh start to go with starting over in a new country; moved my family away from Moscow and to Cologne, Germany this spring and are finally settled. Speaking of family, that’s pretty much why I haven’t posted in a couple years… amazing how much time and energy a baby takes! We have a little Viking boy named Rorek now, a pretty awesome but very high energy kid. He’s our adventure baby; not yet 2 and he’s been to five countries.
Anyway, this is just a note to say Yes! I am alive! and explain why the page is a mess and the Pinterest links aren’t working. (Sorry about that.) Also I’m pivoting from being mostly a travel photographer to being mostly a portrait photographer specializing in costumed subjects and events, so that’s a big part of the re-do.
So here’s a pic from right after we got our German work/ residency visas. Someday I may try to write down the whole saga of our escape from Russia, but I’m not starting it at 3 a.m. on a weeknight.
