13 Aug 2011I'm working on editing the pictures from June's Vyatka Guards (ВЯТСКАЯ СТОРОЖА) festival of Russian Re-enactment today. It covered the last thousand years, so their was WWII artillery screaming by the Viking encampment and the food tents made you think you'd stumbled into Valhalla, with ancient Slavs selling spit-roasted chicken to Napoleon's soldiers and boys straight from the trenches of the Great Patriotic War. I think the armored cavalryman here is from the Polish invasion in the 1600s.
